Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, yesterday met Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at his place of residence in Turkey.
The Crown Prince, who also attended a dinner banquet hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is in Istanbul to represent His Majesty King Hamad at the 13th Islamic Summit of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation.
The Crown Prince conveyed His Majesty’s greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, wishing for continued prosperity in Saudi Arabia. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques extended his best wishes to His Majesty and people of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the Crown Prince praised the leading role played by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Salman in enhancing co-operation among GCC states and extending support to Bahrain.
Regional developments and agenda of OIC summit were also discussed during the meeting.
During the banquet, the Crown Prince conveyed His Majesty’s greetings to the Turkish President. He also held discussions with various heads of delegations taking part in the summit.
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officials are accompanying the Crown Prince at the summit starting today.
