I felt threatened!

Letters

There have been numerous letters written about parking problems especially in Manama and Gudaibiya, but nothing is ever done about it.

I live near Shifa Hospital and parking there is getting worse by the day. There is one office which reserves parking by placing a traffic cone. On April 11, I went around searching for a parking slot and came to this reserved place. I removed the traffic cone and while parking, an employee came out and started shouting at me. He asked me to move my car and said this space belonged to the office for its customers. I asked where was it mentioned that the slot was for that office? In spite of his shouting I parked my car and then he threatened me saying “I will show you tomorrow.”  I did not pay any attention and went home, but I was scared that he may damage my car as that office is open until 12 midnight.

I thought it was not right to call the police for a petty issue, but threatening is in itself an offence, especially to a woman. Can anyone shed light on this issue?

Other option to solve parking problem is no permission should be given to construct new buildings if there is no provision for parking for tenants in the plan.
