Bahrain: Hailing the role played by Saudi Arabia in bringing Arabs and Muslims together, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday said Arabs have regained their influence in international politics.
Addressing senior state officials, businessmen and media persons, he said that GCC countries support each other, which, he stressed, reflects the long history of fraternity and rapprochements among peoples.
The Prime Minister also commended the role of national Press, highlighting the contributions of GCC columnists to Bahraini newspapers.
He urged media personnel to use their pens as weapons in confronting terrorism and extremism.
Commenting on economic issues, the Premier stressed the importance of unity among business community and
called on officials to rally together to strengthen national economy.
He also reviewed regional and global issues and said Bahrain adopts balanced stances with all countries.
Rejecting all destructive ideologies aimed at undermining countries’ stability, the Premier said that the kingdom extends its co-operation to any country which shows its willingness to achieve common interests.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to be always ready to cope with rapidly changing developments, especially in security and economic fields, and affirmed that the main focus of Bahrain is to reinforce security of the country and maintain the pace of nation-building process.
