Riyadh: Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) announced the establishment of a new airline company to provide low cost air transport, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The new company will be called Flyadeel.

Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines Saleh Al-Jasser said that the new airline company will start operating regular flights by mid 2017.

He was addressing a launch ceremony, which was hosted under the patronage of the General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) Chairman, the presence of senior officials, executives, civil aviation experts and media reporters.

In December, Al-Jasser said that the airliner's ticket prices are still the lowest despite the SR30 increase in airfares.

Back in June 2015, at the Paris Air Show, Saudi Arabian Airlines ordered 50 passenger planes from Airbus with a total catalogue value of roughly $8.0 billion.
