THREE people have been arrested for allegedly stealing BD5,000 from an apartment in Muharraq.
The suspects also stole four watches and gold jewellery from the apartment.
“The police arrested three people, aged between 28 and 33, suspected of stealing around BD5,000, four watches and gold jewellery from a residential apartment,” said Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate director general last night.
“As soon as the incident was reported an investigation was launched resulting in the identification of the suspects.
“Preliminary information revealed that the suspects used a rented vehicle and changed the plate number while committing the crime.”
He also added that legal proceedings are underway to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
