Bahrain registered 150 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday.
This means the total number of active cases in the country is 1,781, of which one remains critical. Of Monday’s cases, 101 were expatriate workers, 48 contacts of active cases and one arrived from abroad as part of the government’s International Covid-19 Repatriation Programme (ICRP).
The Health Ministry revealed that another 26 people left treatment and isolation facilities, taking the total number of recoveries to 1,744.
The ministry has also updated details of contact tracing for more than 300 cases.
The latest additions cover Bahrainis, including nine children, and expatriate workers.
Meanwhile, another group of Bahraini citizens have been evacuated from Iran.
They arrived yesterday on a Gulf Air flight as part of the ICRP, with the ministry adding that the evacuation process incorporated all preventive medical protocols.
