Manama: Sixteen members of a Bahraini family have tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19), it was revealed last night. The Health Ministry, in a statement, said the spread was due to a family member’s (case 2,930 as per contact tracing mechanism) non-compliance with precautionary guidelines.
The member transmitted the virus to the rest of the family, including his parents, brothers and sisters in addition to several children. The ministry urged everyone to abide by directives and decisions to contain the spread of Covid-19. It stressed the need for iftars to be limited to reduced family gatherings, urging everyone to wear protective face masks while leaving the house when necessary and commit to social distancing rules.
