Riyadh: Saudi Interior Ministry has announced the enforcement of a 24-hour curfew across the kingdom during a five-day holiday to celebrate Eid Al Fitr to stem the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Economic activities will remain open until then and people can move freely between 9am and 5pm, excluding Mecca which remains under full curfew, according to a statement published by the official Saudi Press Agency.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Health Ministry has announced that four families were infected with the Covid-19 after holding a group iftar during the early days of Ramadan.
It said the families transmitted the virus to each other nearly two weeks ago but did not provide further details on where in the kingdom the incident took place.
