Riyadh: Saudi Assistant Minister of Health and Health Ministry spokesperson Dr Mohammed Al-Abdulaali confirmed 1,905 new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases yesterday.
The new cases were reported in: Riyadh (673), Jeddah (338), Makkah (283), Dammam (147), Hofuf (67), Madinah (64), Jubail (52), Taif (50), Khobar (47), Tabuk (35), Al-Majmaah (30), Diriyah (18), Dhahran (14), Umluj (13), Baish (11), Al-Kharj (6), Salwa (4), Safwa (4), Al-Jafr (3), Qateef (3), Bqeeq (3), Al-Khurma (3), Al-Khafji (2), Qariat Al-Ulya (2), Ras Tanura (2), Rabigh (2), Qarah (2), Qunfutha (2), Sharorah (2), Hail (2), Al-Muzahmiya (2), Hottat Sdeer (2), and one case in each of Abha, Al-Nairia, Buraidah, Unzaizah, Arras, Al-Hada, Al-Laith, Al-Makhwa, Najran, Hottat bni Tamim, Al-Delm, Wadi Al-Dawasir, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Rain, Al-Sulayyil, Al-Zelfi and Rowaidat Al-Ard.
Dr Al-Abdulaali said that the total number of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 in Saudi Arabia has reached 44,830 cases, of which 26,935 are active cases receiving medical care, while of 147 patients are in critical condition.
He added that nine infected patients had passed away, bringing the total death toll to 273.
