A tribute was paid to His Majesty King Hamad for his homage to the late Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa, in recognition of his years-long dedication in serving Bahrain.
The King had directed his representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, National Security Adviser and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to rename three sports arenas located at the Isa Sports City after the sports icon.
Shaikh Nasser commended the royal directives and expressed pride in the King’s care and support for the sports and youth sectors.
This has earned Bahrain landmark achievements and placed the kingdom on regional, continental and international maps, he pointed out.
Shaikh Nasser said Shaikh Isa spared no effort to develop sports in Bahrain and played a pioneering role in its development.
