MANAMA: Carrefour, operated in Bahrain by Majid Al Futtaim, has introduced a mobile app to better serve its customers.
Through the platform, customers can now purchase more than 4,000 products available at Carrefour stores, and receive delivery right to their doorstep.
The app arrives at an important time for consumers and Carrefour as the protracted coronavirus pandemic sees demand for online shopping increase.
Initially, the app will offer products from the store’s grocery and household sections, eventually expanding to provide textiles, light household items, and fresh food items.
Jerome Akel, country manager of Carrefour Bahrain at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, commented: “We’re pleased with the variety of shopping experiences we are able to provide for our customers. We make sure that through inventive thinking and effectively responding to customer demands, Carrefour can connect with customers on multiple platforms and meet them where they are. We are confident the new app will provide our shoppers across the country with a convenient option as they browse our offering from the comfort of their home.”
Customers who register as MyCLUB members will also earn points for shopping transactions that can later be redeemed in the form of discounts.
Existing MyCLUB members must transfer to the new Carrefour app using their previous registration details and create a new password.
All their points and vouchers will automatically be migrated to the new app as the old app will be phased out.
The Carrefour Bahrain app is available for download on the Google Play store and the Apple Store for all mobile users.
