MPs have been alerted about the situation after several homeowners saw layers of salt surfacing on tiles, walls and ceilings.
The alarm was raised by Malkiya Environment and Public Parks Friends head Juma Al Mallah, who said that the depleted homes were posing a danger to people’s lives, well-being and health.
