Indian musician Wajid Khan, part of Bollywood music director duo Sajid-Wajid, died of the coronavirus at a Mumbai hospital early on Monday, it was reported.
The 42-year-old died of 'cardiac arrest', according to his brother Sajid, who also confirmed that his brother had tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to a well-known Bollywood music director, Wajid was hospitalised a few days ago with multiple issues.
The brothers made their Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s 1998 movie "Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya", and followed that with composing music for a number of Salman Khan’s films.
Wajid also did playback singing for Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
Several popular Bollywood figures expressed their grief at Wajid Khan’s death.
