Bahrain’s football leagues will resume starting from August, it was announced.
The Bahrain Football Association said today that the 2019-2020 season will continue after games were suspended in March as part of national efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
The GDN reported last week that professional sports leagues and training will resume by mid-July.
The association said that the season will resume with the Nasser Bin Hamad Premier League followed by the second division.
The Nasser Bin Hamad Premiere League has 7 rounds left while the second division has only two rounds left.
The association also revealed that the 2020-2021 season will kick off in October.
