I APPRECIATE Nyesha Passi’s letter (GDN, June 10) regarding the attack on her dog, and the unpredictability of a pet’s behaviour in public.
She mentions that owners of the dogs that attacked her dog were shocked and unable to control their pets. She was also concerned about what would happen to the dog involved in the recent attack which killed a cat.
The compound that I live in has had a few tragic incidents, and now requires dogs to be muzzled when they are being walked. Muzzling dogs in public seems like a very humane and sensible solution to prevent such tragedies from occurring.
