TWO men were arrested red-handed yesterday for attempting to break into a car.
They were caught by a police vehicle patrolling Hoora, according to the Capital Governorate Police director general.
“The patrol officers saw two men trying to open the door of a parked vehicle with some tools in their possession,” he said in a statement.
“The officers immediately arrested them and upon searching them found stolen items in their possession as well as pills that are suspected to be narcotics.”
He added that legal procedures regarding the incident were completed.
Separately, two men were arrested in Karranah for mugging another and stealing his wallet.
“A complaint was received from the victim that while he was walking in the streets of Karranah a car parked near him and two men got out,” said the Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science director general in a statement.
“They threatened him with a knife, snatched his wallet and fled.
“An investigation was launched which led to the identification of the two assailants who were then arrested.”
Legal steps have been taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
