Legislators will meet urgently tomorrow with the government over pension funds.
It follows a request by National Assembly and Parliament chairwoman Fouzia Zainal over plans to elongate the life span of funds under the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO).
The 10 suggestions presented by the SIO board to the Cabinet include ending the three per cent annual increase to pensions, increasing contributions from current workers, and the possibility of adding expat workers under the funds.
