Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Sameer Nass took part in a virtual roundtable event organised by World Business Angels Investment Forum.
The event was themed ‘Regional transformation of Gulf economies through entrepreneurship as a response to Covid-19’, and hosted key economic decision-makers in Bahrain in addition to over 400 participants from 29 countries.
It deliberated about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the economies of GCC countries, sectors hardest hit by lockdown measures, government policies and economic stimulus packages, and the measures needed for economic recovery.
Nass expressed pride in Bahrain’s swift response to the pandemic and hailed the country’s efforts to mitigate the pandemic’s impact on people and businesses by launching a number of stimulus packages and introducing fees exemptions.
