Bahrain: The pedestrian who was killed on Friday night on Al Isteqlal Highway in a traffic accident has been identified as Radhakrishnan Ramakrishnan.
The 41-year-old Indian worked as a carpenter with Alqandeel Contracting, according to Labour Market Regulatory Authority records. However, his residency was registered as invalid.
The Interior Ministry said on its Twitter account on Friday that the deceased was hit by a car as he was crossing the highway.
According sources, the body is in Salmaniya Medical Complex morgue.
“No one has so far come forward to claim the body,” a source told the GDN.
“The person could be identified from his CPR which was found in his pocket.
“He died instantly as he was thrown in the air after he was hit by the car.”
Indian Embassy and the
employer could not be reached for comment.
