Amid these difficult times of the Covid pandemic, Dubai Police has shared a heartwarming and inspirational story of one of their colleagues.
They have posted a video to tell the story of Bayan Kimamao, Head of the Nursing Unit at the Punitive and Correctional institutions, who contracted Covid-19 in the line of duty and was in a coma for a month.
The Dubai Police force not only provided him treatment but also extended full support to him and his family in the Philippines until he fully recovered.
In the video Kimamao narrates his recovery story:
"One day, while working, I felt extraordinarily tired and suddenly passed out. I suffered from kidney failure and was placed on dialysis, going into a state of coma.”
Kimamao's sister was contacted by the Nursing Supervisor at Dubai Police and was told about his condition and treatment.
Kimamao regained consciousness after 32 days and was able to make video calls to his family.
Kimamao thanked Dubai Police for saving his life and supporting his family when he was in hospital
Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, said, "Bayan is one of our heroes in Dubai police, who work relentlessly in the first line to defeat Covid-19 Pandemic. Thank you Bayan, thank you our Heroes."
