MANAMA: National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga) chief executive Nasser Sultan Al Suwaidi congratulated Tatweer Petroleum, the upstream oil and gas operator in Bahrain, on Esri’s Special Achievement in Geographical Information System (SAG) Award at the annual Esri User Conference.
The company was selected from more than 300,000 entries from around the world in recognition of their innovative application of mapping and analytics technology, as well as thought leadership in the field of oil and gas.
The SAG awards are presented to show appreciation for organisations that have shown effective use of the Geographical Information System (GIS) to understand complex data and meet global challenges. Through their unique approaches to geospatial science, users honoured with the SAG award demonstrate groundbreaking possibilities of GIS software.
Tatweer Petroleum CEO James Eastlack said, “We at Tatweer Petroleum strive to remain in pace with technological advancements in the realm of GIS, which is a key factor in enhancing efficiency in operations.”
