The Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry reacted to social media reports about a programme it had organised in co-operation with the American Embassy under the theme Women2Women Bahrain.
The ministry refuted rumours raised about the programme.
First: It was held by the ministry and the US Embassy based to upgrade the youth sector in Bahrain and highlight the achievements of young male and female groups.
Second: A group of young Bahraini women in the age group of 15 to 18 took part in the programme, and the Women2Women Bahrain is a unique experience for virtual learning and the acquisition of new skills for women and to learn experiences and skills in leadership, effective communication and promoting positive ideas and ways to implement them.
The programme also addressed the empowerment of women among the reasons for success in the public and private sectors, education and training.
Third: The speakers in the programme were female officials in the public and private sectors and universities.
They made five diverse presentations specialising in leadership, skills training, projects, implementation of ideas and their application on the ground. .
Fourth: Ministry affirms that all the programme presentations and discussions that took place were registered and consistent with Bahraini society’s moral values and ethics.
