CUISINES of a dozen countries will be showcased as LuLu hosts a unique food festival over six weekends starting today.
Visiting chefs and LuLu’s own master chefs will line up delicacies at different LuLu Hypermarkets across Bahrain.
The food festival will take place from 6pm until 11pm every weekend.
The event begins with an Indian Food Festival from today until Saturday coinciding with Indian Independence Day. Besides amazing Indian curries, kebabs and biryani, guests can look forward to live cooking stations and cookery demos by Chef Pramod of Spices Restaurant, Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Thai delicacies will be under the spotlight the following weekend (August 20-22).
Traditional Bahraini dishes will be lined up on tables from August 27 to 29.
September starts with Italian flair as a range of pasta, pizza and cheeses are showcased from September 3 to 5.
LuLu will offer treats from three South Asian countries – Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka – from September 10 to 12.
The festival will end on September 17-19 weekend with chefs serving up Oriental delicacies from China, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan.
“Since most people are staying back and not travelling because of the pandemic, they are missing the taste and zing of their gastronomic explorations. LuLu has all the ingredients for a culinary adventure,” LuLu Group director Juzer Rupawala said.
“Our store gives us access to the best ingredients from around the world and we also have some very talented in-house chefs and visiting celebrity chefs to make the food delight our customers.”
