Assistant Foreign Minister Abdulla Al Doseri yesterday delivered a lecture highlighting Bahrain’s achievements in the field of human rights.
It was addressed to diplomats of the Foreign Ministry and employees working on foreign affairs in government and non-government bodies as part of a training programme held by the Mohammed Bin Mubarak Academy for Diplomatic Studies.
Bahraini diplomacy focuses on protecting the rights and interests of Bahrain, through respecting the rules of international law and international human rights law, Mr Al Doseri said.
He noted the role of the ministry in highlighting achievements and initiatives in the field.
He also reviewed Bahrain’s efforts and achievements during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the field of health, education and economy.
He praised the kingdom’s arrangement of flights for the return of citizens abroad, preserving the rights of prisoners and detainees, and protecting the rights of women, families and children.
