The Health Ministry’s contact tracing highlights yesterday revealed 28 coronavirus cases linked to Eid family gatherings.
They were part of two clusters, while another 58 cases linked to four clusters were also featured.
The second cluster started from a 11-year-old Bahraini girl (case no 41233) who tested positive through random community screening.
“Through contact tracing, eight additional positive cases from five households were detected, all of whom are family members who have had direct contact with the index case at an Eid family gathering,” said the ministry.
“The cluster includes the index’s grandmother, aunts, uncles and other relatives.”
The other cases were from four clusters, which initiated from three citizens and one expatriate.
A 39-year-old Bahraini Covid patient (case no 40516) infected 11 people from four households, all of whom are immediate and extended family members.
