A MAN had to have part of his private parts surgically removed after he was kicked in the groin during a brawl following a road rage incident.
The 20-year-old Bahraini was rushed to hospital after he was assaulted by a mob of 17 people at Askar petrol station on May 3.
He said several people attacked him after he indicated to two other motorists in two cars that they should speed up on the highway.
They are then said to have confronted him at a nearby petrol station before attacking him and his friends.
However, only a 20-year-old Bahraini is standing trial in connection with the case.
He appeared at the High Criminal Court where he denied assault and causing a permanent disability to the victim.
In his statement to prosecutors, the victim described the severe pain he suffered as a result of the attack.
“I was with my friends and we were driving on a highway in Askar,” he said.
“I then saw two other motorists who were driving very slowly in the fast lane.
“I signalled to them to speed up because we wanted to pass them.
“However, they then followed us to a petrol station where they got out and apparently phoned their friends.
“Seventeen people arrived and then attacked us.
“I was hit in the testicles and fell to the ground in severe pain.
“I got up but did not know what was happening.
“I saw my friends lying on the ground before I was taken to Salmaniya Medical Complex.
“The doctor told me that my testicles were severely damaged and he had to surgically remove part of them.
“My other friends suffered broken bones, but I do not know exactly who kicked me.”
