Landlords breaking labour camp rules in the present situation need a good kicking!
How irresponsible of them to use 192 derelict houses for workers’ accommodation (GDN, September 8).
Apart from a blatant abuse of human rights, it is endangering lives, as these properties may be sources for the spread of Covid-19.
It is an alarming development, especially in old Muharraq where apparently only one landlord out of 192 took action, and the rest ignored a health ministry call.
People’s lives and health are at stake and tough legal action needs to be taken.
