Police have acted swiftly after a video circulated on social media showing a woman clinging to a large box inside an open boot as a driver sped along the highway.
Traffic officers have taken legal steps against the woman driver, aged 20, the Ministry of Interior said, and her vehicle has been seized.
She has been interviewed for ‘driving her car and keeping a woman in the trunk’, a spokesman added.
The incident has been referred to the Public Prosecution for ‘risking the safety of a person’.
