His Majesty King Hamad received a cable of congratulations from Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa on the signing of the Declaration Supporting Peace between Bahrain Israel.
The minister extended, on behalf of the Interior Ministry’s affiliates, sincerest feelings of national belonging, loyalty and devotion to His Majesty for constantly seeking to achieve glory, love, security and stability for Bahrain, the “kingdom of co-existence and peace”.
The Interior Minister stressed that the declaration supporting peace with Israel is a catalyst for establishing peace, in accordance with Arab and Palestinian interests.
He expressed deep pride in the King’s positive and constructive vision in defending Arab rights in a civilised manner, by seeking to find practical mechanisms and ways to address and defend the Arab central cause.
The minister lauded His Majesty’s wisdom and far-sighted vision which, he said, will remain engraved in the memory of future generations.
He asserted that the King, supported by the loyal Bahraini people, is determined to continue contributing effectively to solving this long and complicated conflict in a way that preserves national interests.
He said that the King’s message to the world is based on openness to all countries, and building balanced relations to achieve security and peace, promote the values of tolerance, stability and development, combat hatred and discrimination and close the doors to extremist and terrorist groups that hate peace and security.
The King received a congratulatory cable from Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani on the signing of the agreement with Israel. He expressed gratitude to His Majesty for assigning him with this national duty.
