ALL academic programmes offered by the Applied Science University’s (ASU) college of engineering, in collaboration with London South Bank University (LSBU), are delivered according to the strategic track of the Higher Education Council (HEC).
This was revealed by ASU college of engineering acting dean Dr Adnan Altamimi, who asserted that all academic programmes met international educational standards.
Admissions for the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021 is now open for students who wish to enrol in this prestigious engineering major, he said, adding that the venture is the university’s first step towards internationalisation.
The formation of a solid partnership with highly-ranked institutions such as the LSBU is a gateway to improve the university’s swift progress in advanced scientific research.
This is in addition to institutional accreditation from the HEC, which reflects on the highly-distinguished achievements of the university.
LSBU is considered one of the most prestigious universities in London. It includes more than 20,000 students and offers a range of diverse academic specialisations at all levels from bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees.
LSBU also achieved the ‘Times Award’ for leadership in the field of higher education in 2016.
Dr Altamimi revealed that the ASU college of engineering offers undergraduate degrees in both civil and architectural programmes, which will qualify students to obtain international degrees.
The programmes, launched after a comprehensive study of current and prospective expectations of the domestic and global labour market, emphasises the university’s commitment to applying the highest educational standards that contribute to the economic enhancement of Bahrain and the Arab region.
