MANAMA: Ahli United Bank Bahrain (AUB) has announced the completion of its first summer virtual internship programme for university graduates, organised in collaboration with CFA Society Bahrain.
This year, the bank accepted 10 fresh graduates from various local universities and conducted the programme virtually, while ensuring a similarly high level of engagement and high-quality training outputs, in terms of both theory and practice.
The programme was first launched by the bank’s human resources department several years back, with the primary objective of cultivating young Bahraini talent to be recruited by the banking sector at large.
It is designed to identify the most distinguished candidates, and possibly shortlist some of them for future employment as needed.
The interns are given the opportunity to obtain a well-rounded experience covering the various facets of the banking industry, including its concepts, dynamics, and practical applications.
The training is designed to produce high-calibre recruits adept at the various skillsets required in a modern banking setting, both analytical and executional.
It also encourages participants to think out-of-the-box to improve financial products by writing proposals to pitch new ideas based on their observations of the banking sector and local market shifts, and bridge any perceived gaps, as well as improve the bank’s systems and processes.
