MANAMA: The first International Artificial Intelligence virtual conference organised by Bahrain has concluded with participation of over 100 delegates from the GCC and Europe.
The event was organised by the Artificial Intelligence Society under the patronage of Shura Council chairman Ali Saleh who in his address stressed on the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) for the kingdom and the new generation of the workforce.
Mr Al Saleh also referred to a speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad at the opening of the second session of the fifth Legislative Term of the Shura and Representatives councils, which articulated His Majesty’s vision on artificial intelligence and digital economy.
The speakers at the conference were from the UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain.
Dr Jassim Haji, chairman of the conference, said, “We were honoured with an inspiring speech by Mr Al Saleh and the support of the Shura Council to implement artificial intelligence in the kingdom. Speakers focussed on AI applications in finance, marketing, healthcare and future strategies.”
