Riyadh: Saudi revealed that 13 of its citizens have been awarded the King Abdulaziz Medal for donating their organs and blood to the needy.
The move follows the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
A total of 13 citizens were given the King Abdulaziz Merit Medal of the Second Class for donating their blood 50 times, while 213 citizens received the King Abdulaziz Medal of the Third Class for donating their blood 10 times.
According to Saudi Gazette, the King Abdulaziz Medal of the Third Class was also bestowed upon 14 male and female citizens for their donation of one of their main organs, whether from a living or brain-dead person.
