British University of Bahrain student Zahra Jaffar Ali Mohammed Hussain Alsafi, 20, was yesterday declared winner of the prestigious 2020 King Sejong Institute Korean Speaking Contest.
It was hosted virtually by the Culture and Sports Minister in Korea.
Ms Alsafi described key characteristics of Korean people and culture that have had an influence on her learning of the Korean language.
She has studied the Korean language at Manama King Sejong Institute operated by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
