Bahrain plans to fast-track surgeries for patients on the waiting list, it was revealed yesterday.
The government has decided to increase the number of surgeries which feature among the one-day operations at Salmaniya Medical Complex, according to a report in our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
Responding to a number of parliamentary proposals, the Health Ministry said that under the new plan, more surgeries will be performed for children and patients suffering from internal diseases.
It is part of efforts to deliver world-standard medical services at Bahrain’s largest public hospital.
Meanwhile, the Khalifa Bin Salman Health Centre is expected to be operational by mid-2021, with the project already 40 per cent complete.
