Elections for committee chairmen and vice-chairmen were held today at the Shura Council.
Khalid Al Maskati was elected as financial and economic affairs committee chairman, Dalal Al Zayed as chairwoman of the legislative and legal affairs committee and Dr Jihad Al Fadhel as services committee chairwoman.
Yousif Al Ghatam was elected as foreign affairs, defence and national security committee chairman, Dr Mohammed Hassan as public utilities and environment affairs committee chairman and Dr Ibtisam Al Dallal as woman and child committee chairwoman.
Ahmed Al Haddad was elected as human rights committee chairman and Sabeeka Al Fadhala as youth and sports committee chairwoman.
