Delegations from Bahrain, the United States of America and Israel are meeting today in Manama.
The United States delegation is led by the US Treasury Secretary, Steven Mnuchin, and the Israeli delegation is led by the National Security Advisor, Meir Ben-Shabbat.
This historical diplomatic breakthrough comes following the signing of the Peace Declaration between Bahrain and Israel in Washington on September 15, 2020, at the invitation of US President Donald Trump, to endorse the principles of the Abraham Accords and to open a new chapter of peace.
During today’s meeting in Manama, Bahrain and Israel will sign a Joint Communique on the establishment of diplomatic, peaceful and friendly relations, as well as a number of Memorandums of Understanding in areas of mutual benefit.
This new era of peace and co-operation will bring further prosperity to the peoples of Bahrain and Israel.
