The King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed Paris FC’s away 2-1 victory over Chateauroux FC in the eighth round of the French Ligue 2.
With this win, the team, representing Bahrain Victorious, have cemented their position on top of the league.
Shaikh Nasser expressed delight to see the team becoming a force to be reckoned with but underlined that maintaining the position on top will require enormous efforts and firm desire.
“The team’s performance is improving as a result of the great work they are doing during the training sessions. The coming period will be crucial to continue on the same path,” he said.
Gaetan Laura scored the first goal for Paris FC while the second was an own goal from Ibrahim Cisse. Chateauroux pulled one back just before halftime through Romain Grange.
The team’s next match will be against Caen on Saturday.
