Muharraq won the 2019-20 season’s Bahrain Football Association (BFA) Cup after outplaying Busaiteen 4-1 at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town last night.
Muharraq struck first through Prince in the 23rd minute and Abdul Latif extended the lead in the 37th minute as they led 2-0 at half-time.
Busaiteen raised hopes of a comeback in the second half when a corner kick by Ibrahim Musa earned them a goal in the 56th minute. A minute later, Ali Moftah gave Muharraq a two-goal lead and Mohammed Al Shorouki made it 4-1 for the winners in the 68th minute.
BFA vice-president Ali Al Buainain presented Muharraq with the winners’ trophy and the gold medals. The runners-up also received their trophy and silver medals.
