MANAMA: The Prime Minister has praised health professionals’ devotion to serve their country and society through their sacrifices and noble humanitarian efforts to preserve the safety and health of all.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa congratulated physicians and health workers marking Bahraini Doctor’s Day, celebrated yesterday for the first time.
He expressed pride in the Bahraini men and women working in the medical sector. They represent a model of competence, achievements and distinguished scientific and professional levels, which reflects the success of policies to invest in citizens as the real assets for the development of various sectors, the Premier said.
The health sector in Bahrain has been able to prove its competence in facing all challenges and hold an advanced position in providing treatment and medical services that match best international standards, he said.
The Prime Minister pointed out the importance of Bahraini doctors’ role in enhancing the efficiency of health services provided to citizens and residents.
He said the government focuses on the development of the vital health sector in a way that achieves the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad to improve various service sectors, empower Bahrainis and bolster their contribution to the development process.
He praised the efforts of the Health Ministry to upgrade the skills of Bahraini health professionals.
He thanked all Bahraini doctors who have worked hard on the frontlines to combat Covid-19, and commended the performance of medical personnel in the public and private sectors. He lauded them for providing high-quality health services for citizens and residents.
Bahraini doctors have an honourable record of sacrifice, sincerity, competence and readiness to face all challenges, he said, stressing that they are loyal soldiers in confronting challenges so that their country remains safe and healthy.
He praised the efforts of the Bahrain Medical Society and its pioneering role in fulfilling the aspirations of health workers.
