Associative Design, created by the Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries (AIMMP), will showcase ‘The Best of Portugal’ exhibition in Dubai Design Week 2020, the region's largest creative festival with a focus on supporting the creative community.
The new designs from 17 luxury furniture brands are on display at the major design expo being held till November 14 at the Dubai Design District (d3).
Dedicated to the global design community, the d3 caters to startups, entrepreneurs and established international design, luxury and fashion brands.
Associative Design promotes Portuguese brands and products globally, and also pitches in design works in the use of both technology and design.
Commenting on the expo, President Vítor Poças said: "Its an extremely important opportunity for Portuguese design to be present in this event as UAE is a blooming market for the home sector exports."
The showcase incorporates new designs from seventeen luxury furniture brands: Achillesince1905, AroundtheTree, Creativemary, Castro Wood Floors, De Fontes, Ferreira De SÁ Rugs, Globaldis, SA, Homel Design Furniture, João Bruno Design, JSC Technology, Magyk Art Image, Malabar, Mamoa, Molaflex, Nauu Design, Ottiu, Vista Alegre, X8 Solutions Group.
Dubai Design Week is known as the best platform for regional design and a catalyst for the growth and support of the creative community in Dubai and the UAE, said the event organisers.
The exhibition provides a dynamic environment where design meets opportunity and encourages economic diversity and cross disciplinary collaboration.
The festival’s varied programme covers a range of design disciplines including architecture, product design, interiors, multimedia and graphic design.-TradeArabia News Service
