MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received messages of condolences over the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
He received cables of condolences from Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi, South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, German Ambassador Kai Thamo Boeckmann, Moroccan King Mohammed VI, head of Kuwait’s Amiri Court Shaikh Mubarak Faisal Saud Al Sabah and Prince Hamza Ibn Al Hussain.
Asean Bahrain Council chairman Shaikh Duaij bin Isa Al Khalifa also expressed condolences to His Majesty. He also extended condolences to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Premier’s Adviser Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Royal Family and to the people of Bahrain.
His Majesty also received condolence messages from ministers, government officials, leading personalities, chiefs of social and sport clubs and citizens.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister received a cable of condolences from UK’s Defence Senior Adviser to the Middle East Lt Gen Sir John Lorimer. He also received similar cables from Prince Hamza bin Al Hussein, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Mohammed Jassim Al Saqer and ambassadors.
