MANAMA: Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Office has announced the sponsorship of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the 2020 Artificial Intelligence for All Virtual Conference which will be organised jointly by Bahrain Polytechnic and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) next month.
The event will target all sectors and industries relying on artificial intelligence and will see the participation of artificial intelligence industry experts, professionals and researchers in this field, in addition to academicians and students.
On the occasion, deputy CEO for resources and information affairs Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa expressed his gratitude to Shaikh Khalid for sponsoring the conference, which is part of Bahrain Polytechnic’s goals in achieving and supporting the directives and initiatives of Shaikh Khalid and Bahrain that aim to evolve the artificial intelligence field.

He said that Shaikh Khalid’s support had contributed to the launch of Bahrain Polytechnic Artificial Intelligence Academy in 2018, revealing that the academy, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East, welcomed the first batch in September this year.
BIBF director Dr Ahmed Al Shaikh expressed appreciation and gratitude to Shaikh Khalid for sponsoring the conference. He said that Shaikh Khalid’s support to events linked to artificial intelligence and future sciences has bolstered Bahrain’s position regionally in this sector.
Meanwhile, Centre for Digital Transformation and Project Management head Ahmed Naimi said that the main themes of the conference will be about the concepts surrounding the application of artificial intelligence and technical learning.
