Muharraq eased past Bahrain Club 102-84 in the first group match of the Bahrain Basketball Federation Cup yesterday.
Bahrain Club won the first and third quarters 27-26 and 20-18, while Muharraq grabbed the second and fourth quarters 28-24 and 30-13.
In the second match, the Bahrain Basketball Association adopted the victory of Al Hala over Riffa 20-0, due to the latter’s failure to turn up at the stadium.
The fourth round of the first preliminary group is expected to start on Tuesday, when Manama play Al Najmah and Al Ahli meet Nuwaidrat.
On Wednesday, Samaheej face Al Hala and Al Ittihad meet Bahrain Club. The round competitions will conclude on Thursday with Muharraq taking on Isa Town.
