Bahrain has scooped five prizes in the first edition of the Arab Government Excellence Awards. Health Ministry won the Best Arab Government Project for Developing the Health Sector.
The Khatwa programme for family projects, run by the Labour and Social Development Ministry, won the Best Arab Government Project for Community Development. The Interior Ministry’s e-customs clearance system (Horizons), bagged the Best Arab Government Development Initiative Prize.
The Information and e-Government Authority (iGA) clinched the Best Arab Government Application Prize (for Tawasul).
The Youth and Sports Ministry won the Best Arab Youth Empowerment project.
