Established in 1978, the original Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant was first located in Umm Al Hassam.
The restaurant, which has now been relocated to Adliya’s Block 338, also has a second branch called Hong Kong Garden Restaurant, in Janabiya.
The original Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant had a long influx of fans ever since it opened.
Decorated with imported Chinese tiles from Taiwan, customers can expect to be transported to the intriguing country of China, without leaving the island.
Customers are struck with fond memories of the years past as they seat themselves around a cream tablecloth-crowned table, familiar décor and mouthwatering aromas.
Old favourites such as the crunchy prawn crackers, crispy vegetable spring rolls, chicken dumplings, Kung Pao Chicken and Prawn in Black Pepper Sauce are still being served to happy customers.
Other specialities of the restaurant include Chilli Beef with tender pieces of meat and battered Peking Prawns in a thick, tangy sauce, delicious Squirrel Hammour Fish and tantalising Roast Duck.
The colourful Buddha’s Delight is a vegetarian centrepiece, filled with freshly sautéed vegetables in a silky gravy, which goes perfectly with the vegetable fried rice and noodles.
The restaurant’s signature chilli sauce, made with an assortment of chillies, is delicious and sure to leave you wanting more.
Main chef Yong Jie LV of the original Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is behind all the authentic deliciousness at the restaurant.
All of the restaurant’s staff have received the Covid-19 vaccination and the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation are observed at the restaurant for the safety of its customers and staff.
