Kit 'Jon Snow' Harrington tired of sexism faced by male actors

Kit Harrington is one of the hottest TV stars ( apart from Benedict Cumberbatch) and is famous for his portrayal of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones series

The 'GOT' actor revealed that he has often been typecast due to his looks and has felt uncomfortable when asked to do topless scenes.

In an interview to Sunday Times Magazine, the actor said, "There's a sexism that happens towards men".

"There's definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well."

"At some points during photoshoots when I'm asked to strip down, I felt that. If I felt I was being employed just for my looks, I'd stop acting," he added.

The actor complained about the different set of rules for men and women in the industry and sexism faced by male actors are not tackled.

"I think there is a double standard. If you said to a girl, ‘Do you like being called a babe?’ and she said, ‘No, not really,’ she'd be absolutely right.”

"I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks. It's demeaning," he explained.
