His Majesty King Hamad has been congratulated by his representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on the great success achieved by Bahrain in organising the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
Shaikh Nasser also congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, lauding his efforts, close follow-up on the preparations and personal keenness on all details.
The Crown Prince Prime Minister’s endeavours have led to the race being held under the best organisational form, Shaikh Nasser said.
Bahrain was able to organise an exceptional race this year and Bahrainis were able to turn the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic into success, he added.
The success has confirmed the kingdom’s great capabilities and its professional approach that contributed to highlighting Bahrain’s status as the home of motorsports in the Middle East, he said.
Shaikh Nasser stressed that the kingdom’s organisation of the Formula 1 confirms the great position it now holds in motorsport and its enormous ability in dealing with the organisational and administrative procedures to host a successful race.
The kingdom has achieved numerous gains from hosting the F1 race as the international media shed positive light on Bahrain, he said.
The great efforts by the Bahrain International Circuit staff and those in charge of the race were appreciated and admired by all participants and observers, and Bahrainis managed to hold the race in an ideal organisational manner and tackled various challenges professionally, which contributed to preserving the safety of everyone, Shaikh Nasser said.
