SEVERAL services that were once limited in salons in Bahrain have been given the green light to resume from Sunday.
The Health Ministry announced last night that based on a decision taken by the Government Executive Committee and upon the recommendations made by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (Covid-19), several additional services will be provided by salons in accordance with the approved health regulations.
Services had been limited to just 10 per cent of the facilities’ original capacity since the places were allowed to reopen in May after being closed for 60 days due to Covid-19.

Significance
The services that will resume include facial treatments, blow-drying services along with hair treatments, threading, henna art, make-up application, eyelash and hair extensions (including returnable hair extensions) as well as tanning services and the use of tanning beds.
The ministry reiterated the significance of following all precautionary health measures in support of the kingdom’s continued national efforts towards mitigating the spread of the virus, as well as the importance of self-responsibility and the social responsibility of protecting oneself, one’s family and the community.
The ministry also noted that these decisions will be periodically reviewed in accordance with Covid-19 statistical data, in order to safeguard and preserve the health and safety of the community.
