A set of four commemorative stamps, crowned with the portrait of His Majesty King Hamad, has been issued by Bahrain Post to mark Bahrain’s 49th National Day and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad’s accession to the throne.
The stamps feature some of Bahrain’s traditional handicrafts and were designed in co-operation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in celebration of Bahrain’s culture.
They are also aimed at documenting the historical aspects of the kingdom’s cultural heritage and ancient civilisations while encouraging the preservation and continuation of these handicrafts.
The stamps are available in denominations of 250 fils and are available at all Bahrain Post branches.
